  1. Thank you so much for this comment, it truly means a lot! Our goal from the start was to create something that not only raises meaningful support for Scouting, but also embodies the spirit of the program: adventure, personal growth, and community. We’re thrilled to hear that it resonates with you on all those levels. You're right, welcoming folks beyond the Scouting circle, and giving people a real experience (not just a product) has been a game-changer. We hope it inspires others to think creatively about how to fundraise and strengthen the program at the same time. Thanks again for the support — and yes... this is the way.
  2. That is correct, moderators. This is a fundraising event to support the Golden Gate Area Council - Scouting America and their amazing program that helps support the Wente Scout Reservation in Willits, California. This is the only Scout Camp locally with a mountain bike program, and it is amazing to see the Scouts riding the pump tracks and flow trails. The stoke is real. Last year, we raised a significant amount of money through proceeds, and this year, we built up and donated a whole new fleet of Specialized bikes to the program! We appreciate you all for letting us post this here and would love to get more Scouts involved and into mountain biking.
  3. It’s back! Our second annual Mountain Bike Getaway for Scouting is here — and this year, it’s bigger, better, and still completely all-inclusive. Escape the routine and spend a full weekend immersed in nature: riding bikes, making memories, and supporting a great cause. Hosted at the stunning Wente Scout Reservation in Northern California, this bite-sized retreat brings everything you love about the outdoors — with none of the hassle. You’ll have exclusive access to 20+ miles of scenic trails spanning two mountain zones, with terrain for every rider. From technical singletrack to smooth, flowy descents, the riding is as dynamic as the landscape. And when you’re not shredding? Cool off in our private lake — grab a kayak, try your hand at fishing, or take a refreshing swim. We’ve taken care of all the details: All meals prepared by private chef Steph Seaborg Beer, wine, and drinks included Morning coffee and evenings in the beer garden Lakeside lodging, tents, and gear provided Expect demo bikes from Specialized, Ibis, and Transition, guided and night rides, skills clinics, and fly fishing lessons. Off the bike, enjoy archery, clay shooting, disc golf putting, pump track sessions, stargazing, and plenty of time to relax around the campfire. Whether you’re a solo rider, coming with your family, or rolling deep with your riding crew — this weekend is easy to join, hard to forget, and 100% fun. And best of all, it supports the mission of Scouting. Spots are limited. Grab your pass today — available for Adults, Youth, and Non-Rider +1s!
