I personally have strong feelings on the correct wearing of the uniform, having been a scout on military bases while my father was in the service. We all had at least one parent whose uniform had to be perfect every day, and we followed that example. But when I see less concerned scouts I temper my reaction by remembering these words from the founder:
“I don’t care a fig whether a Scout wears uniform or not so long as his heart is in his work and he carries out the Scout Law.”
