We have a history of Troop Guides being somewhat at loose ends in troop meetings and campouts; not really sure where they fit in. I would like to develop a mentorship program that helps them identify a stronger role in the troop and recognizes their critical contribution to advancement. As part of that I hope to find a movie that portrays the role of a "guide" in a positive light and gives us a protrayal of an individual "guiding" a larger group. From that we can discuss what it means to be a Troop Guide. My first thought was to seek out some old Western move with a prominant and successful trailguide, but beyond that I am stumped. Of course, I'd want a movie that 13-15 year-olds would enjoy. Anyone have any ideas?
