What are your thoughts about Committee Members signing off on their child's requirements? The only time I do it for my son is when he is part of a group. This would tend to eliminate the appearance of "going easy" on your son so he can advance. Can a Adult leader sign off on parts of merit badge requirements, if they are not an instructor for that merit badge? For example, can a non First Aid Merit badge instructor sign off on the "Prepare a 1st aid kit" requirement?
