Scouter.com get involved with some malicious banner ad company????

Recommended Posts

first this weekend we had the naked pictures of a girl on a toilet popping up, now various links are getting blocked by malwarebytes on my computer

http:// hjfghj.com / r.php is one of them from today....

looks like it's the banner ad that is right below the logout link to the right that is causing pain this time....

can someone PLEASE look into this??? I'll bet there are dozens of folks that are now infected due to these malicious web banner ads :-(

Disable your javascript, and you don't get the junk. However, some other websites won't work right. My guess is that Scouter.com is hacked.

Well I looked up how to do this.. I did Security and disabled activeX script.. Don't know if better.. Still brings up the scouter banner, then hangs then after a minute the forum detail displays.

This morning I get no warnings. Everything looks good so far, even on this wretched Microsoft system.

Seems to be running better this morning. I had to reactive the active x as my email service didn't work without it.. I wasn't going to turn off/ turn on every time I moved between the two.

I saw the thing pop-up and ever since I've had problems with my Firefox Browser. it won't connect to Google.Com, Bing.Com and I have to disable Javascript on several sites, including this one, that I didn't have to before. I ran Malawarebytes and it found some nasties and deleted them, but I am still having problems. Whatever was attached to that picture has left something behind or changed a setting somewhere.

Try downloading AVG. They have a 1 month free trial, and even their free program is pretty good at finding stuff, and blocking stuff.
