cardinal50 10 Posted February 24, 2009 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Hi everyone, Just got back involved in scouting after about a 10 year hiatus. I used to be registered in Dan Beard Council in Cincinnati, OH. Moved to Lake Cumberland area about 4 years ago. I've registered as a Unit Commissioner since most of my previous experience has been in Commissioner service. I'm really looking forward to serving. Moving from the "Big City" to this beautiful rural area is really causing culture shock. The great and friendly people here have made this Buckeye feel welcome. It will take some time to get used to a district that covers 8 counties! My old district was one and a half counties and even then my fellow scouters often complained about having to drive 45 minutes to Roundtable:-) I was happy to find this site. I am on committee troop and pack although I don't have any sons in the pack. Hubby is SM of the troop and youngest (13) son is Life, oldest (20) is Eagle. Welcome and join in.
