I am a long time poster on various other Scouting mail lists and sites, but new here. After many years as a volunteer I started signing the other side of the check and am the Camp Director for Laguna Station High Adventure Sea Base on South Padre Island in Texas. I also am an Associate Advisor for Crew 574 and recently retired as the SM for Troop 74, but remain as an active Committee Member.

 

I also collect CSPs and camp patches, odds and ends of Scouting memorabilia. Have an Eagle Scout son who is off to Texas State University, a daughter who continues to amaze me. I have also returned to college to pursue studies in Psychology.

My scouts chose Laguna station for a trip back in 2001, quite a distance from Northern Illinois. They had a great time. Only lost one flashlight and only broke one fishing pole :-).

Jim is a good friend and I am glad to see him visiting our forums. Back when Laguna Station first opened we did a photo spread in SCOUTER Magazine, back in the glory days when this website was connected to a published magazine.
