mtman 10
In the state of Michigan Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts have the opportunity to serve at Mackinac Island State Park each summer. The scouts perform tasks including raising and lowering the flags at this historic Great Lakes outpost and act as guides. They live at a designated barracks and work hard to keep bright the 75 year tradition of their predecessors who include Eagle Scout - President Gerald R. Ford. I'M WONDERING IF THERE ARE ANY PROGRAMS LIKE THIS IN OTHER STATES AT STATE OR NAT. PARK SITES?
Sparkie 12
Our family trip this summer was to Mt. Rushmore. The evening lighting ceremony was done by scouts. I can't say for sure if it is done by scouts every night, but for some reason i think it is.
