Pack Meeting Standards

Do you have any standards that are kept for your pack meetings? For instance, in about an hour:

  • Handouts placed for adults for pickup
  • Flags and stands gathered
  • Sound system gotten ready
  • (option) Video gotten ready
  • (option) Assistant Cubmaster greets Special Guest and manages their logistics
  • Gather, Seating by Den with Den Leaders, possible craft at table
  • Adults seated separately from scouts
  • Adults to speak line up
  • /// MEETING BEGINS 6:30 pm///
  • Flag Den of month presents flags
  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • Scout Oath and Law
  • Flag Den of month returns to seating
  • Greetings from Cubmaster, recap, and announcements
  • (option) Pack Yell
  • (option) adult run on skit
  • Committees Report on items past and future
  • (option) Committee Chairman comments
  • Adults return to seating as completed
  • Skit Den of the month
  • Advancement Recognition
  • (option) Adult skit
  • Assistant Cubmaster comments and introduces Special Guest (option)
  • (option) Special Guest
  • Cubmaster / Assistant Cubmaster closes
  • Discussion of next month and any other notices
  • Vespers
  • Den retires flag
  • ///MEETING ENDS 7:30 pm///
  • Tear down, return flags, check area as clean as we found it
  • Depart for home

No, but I like this.  I have been trying to get our Pack Meetings to be something to look forward to, but I'm not a showman.  We normally do the flags, pledge, oath, and law, then greeting.  After that, the CC makes any announcements.  We might have a den skit, then advancement.  Then, it's kind of dead air for a minute and we retire the colors.  Would be nice if I could get the parents to get involved.  We tried to go with a monthly theme, but it's not working out.

We assigned each rank a pack meeting and pack admin/leaders did the rest.
