If not, then perhaps his experience at Camp Squanto and after will be a case study that MBC will use? During the summer 2018, Mr. Vogel, an Eagle Scout, was the only black adult staff member or volunteer at Camp Squanto, a scout camp south of Boston. After alleged events at that camp which included an "Evil Monkey" award, Mr. Vogel filed a discrimination complaint with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination but it was dismissed since he was a volunteer and not an employee. He has now filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against Mayflower Council.
