A quick perusal of items up for auction -- the catalog is huge -- turns up such items as a $20,000 rifle or a chance to kill an Alaskan brown bear ($20,000 value). You can bid on the opportunity to kill a buffalo at the Philmont Scout Ranch, where Boy Scouts of America typically enjoy far less sanguine fun.

Putting on my Leave No Trace hat, I'd just like to remind folks that one of the LNT principles is "Respect wildlife." So please...when taking part in Snipe hunts, remember to practice catch and release practices.
