Troop is providing the Honor Guard for the local July 4th concert in the city center. We also put up over 200 3'x5' American flags on 8' flag poles around several contiguous neighborhoods in our area. Quite a sight!

Our Pack and Troop are combining to conduct a flag-raising ceremony for our local neighborhood and congregation. I've been drilling them pretty hard to make sure that the service gets the dignity and respect it deserves, but they are super excited and I am sure they are going to do a terrific job.

The boys did a GREAT JOB!!! They stayed in formation, remembered their jobs, stood at attention without looking distracted, hoisted the flag beautifully - it was a smart, professional job, and they received all kinds of compliments and kind words from the community. A proud day for our boys!

Ours did too, they stayed in formation the entire parade and many parade watchers stood, took their hats off, and saluted.  It was a proud Scoutmaster moment for sure.

Son's troop didn't do anything so we marched with our church in a neighborhood parade.

Our church's troop showed up in force, as always. They had 2 signal towers they mounted on platforms on casters and pushed through the parade. Afterward they had the 2 signal towers and a 3 tower suspension bridge set up in the park during the community picnic. The signal towers were not g2ss compliant but were really solid. Lots of community kids were climbing them. Even kids too young for the towers were having fun on the bridge. This troop has been doing this every 4th for the last 15-20yrs depending on how you count.
