Just thinkin' It also goes a long way to feel confident in the background checks National is doing. Next thing you know, we'll all be peeing in a cup at every RT...at least in Pennsylvania. Ha good point. Had x's on my mind from Algebra tutoring. I hope that Council is interviewing everyone in Troop ###, inspecting facilities, etc. I wonder who the CO is? But as long as that's where we went, this CO prohibits concealed carry at any time or event. This applies to the congregation as well as the troop and pack. I support their policy. I add: this policy applies to open carry as well, pretty much all firearms at all times. The congregation seems to be solid on this policy as well. Guns aren't just for back alleys anymore. They are now fashion accessories for some of the nicest places one could imagine or couldn't image. Stosh 3452 Posted January 15, 2016 Share Posted January 15, 2016 I'm thinking that with all the overly sensitivity to the litigation issues and the PC stance of only shooting round paper targets, that one has totally erased the basic premise of the original founders of the scouting movement in America. The motto chosen was Be Prepared. That means prepared for all situations where one's obligation to the Scout Law might mean one has to stand and defend those around you. A Boy Scout pocket knife is even outlawed in areas these boys spend the majority of their daylight hours. That pretty much neutralizes the whole concept of Be Prepared and a good portion of the Scout Law. Link to post Share on other sites

Joann Badey did not post bail and was remanded to the Delaware County Jail. George Badey IV was released on bail, according to court records. George Badey was listed as a leader for Radnor Cub Scout Pack 371 on the group's website. Upon hearing the news, Scout leader David Bryan said she was no longer affiliated with the pack. The drugs were being sold to Villanova University students, according to sources. Her son has several drug arrests in both Maryland and Pennsylvania, I would think this would be noted in the PA State Police and FBI checks of her known associates. In the UK (where I'm from) it all seems complete madness. Some of our police are allowed guns (armed response units), but when they are not on a job they are kept locked in the police station. Our kids are allowed knives thought and the law is quite reasonable, if stopped by the police, if you can prove you have a good reason to have it on your person then thats fine Link to post Share on other sites
