How is a form user's status (New, Junior, Senior, etc) determined?

 

Also, are the rating stars gone forever?

"new" is a person with less than like 20 posts.

"Junior" is a person under like 80 posts.

"Senior" is everyone over 80 or whatever.

 

I'm not positive on the numbers, but they sound about right.

 

Also, I do believe they are probably going to be gone.

I think the rating stars died, mainly because to create the correct number of stars the server had to compute the ratings, every time a page was created for a viewers computer. It had to touch a lot of records and it slowed the response time to a crawl.

This will make me one post closer to a senior forum member. Right now I'm just a forum member. From what I can tell, It takes 100 posts to become senior.
