In British Columbia it is a province-wide law: No Smoking in any public indoor space including bars & restaurants. So how about a cartoon where southbound smokers & the northbound Tim Curran & James Dale meet at the border, where Immigration Officers ask, "Why are you coming to our country?"

"To go where fags are OK!" answer both groups.

For the slang impaired, mostly US citizens, "fags" is a slang term for cigarettes in many European and European influenced countries.

PatBB, thanks for the chuckle!

P.S. What is the definition of a Canadian?

Ans: An American without a gun.

How did Canada come up with it's name? A few were talking, pondering and imbibing about a good name and started by throwing out letters? How about a C, eh? N, eh? D, eh? And thus CaNaDa was created!(This message has been edited by acco40)

Well... it was tasteless and probably doesn't belong here, but the same could be said for a lot of posts I've seen on these forums.

The very interesting thing about it however, is the underlying premise that makes it funny: morality is relative -- what's OK here is not OK there, and vice-versa.

Morality might be relative, but I thought we were here to instill those principles by setting the standard, not living down to something less than what would be expected in the Scout Oath and Law.

Tasteless jokes have no place in this forum or in Scouting. Take your humor home and don't come back.
