Counting Registered Adult Leaders

Recommended Posts

Everyone knows that youth membership number are a BIG DEAL for councils and BSA national.

But how about numbers of registered adult leaders. I've never had council or national leaders remark about numbers of adult leaders. As long as you have the minimum to recharter, you are good to go.

Anyone have contrary experience?

SHOULD the number of registered adult leaders be given more emphasis?

I guess it depends on why the leaders are being counted. If your district has 35 "District" positions that are filled by 20 adults, that is not the same as having 35 positions filled by 35 people.

If there were 300 adults serving 1500 (made up numbers, don't kill me over it) and now 100 adults serve 1400, its makes a difference

While the adult count most of the time is seen as not being that very important, when it comes to the Commissioner count it does become a very big deal.

Every now and then the number of volunteers is mentioned.

Sometimes size does matter.

Ea.
