Regional Offices to be Closed?

I can and do see how a good deal of the things that the Regions are involved with can or could be managed from just about anywhere.

I'm a little puzzled what will happen when things in Councils are not going well?

Regional Staff have in the past stood in for SE when there wasn't a SE. What happens after 12/31/09 ?

I'm also not sure what impact this will have on the Area Committees?

You misunderstood my post, BP. I understand those admin functions are handled at region now. My point is that I don't care where the person is located when I send in my registration or they send me my camp school materials.

For the most part it will not matter. But there has been the occasional National Tour Permit that we won't be able to walk through a couple of days before the trip.

Yes, it's partially due to the changes in the requirements from the Dept of Smoke & Mirrors..er..Homeland Insecurity.

 

But if you now need to mail your tour permit to Irving and await a response rather than sending it to Massachusetts, I can see that yes, you had best be sending this in 2 months in advance rather than 1.
