Mr. Boyce 13
What ways has your lodge taken to respect Native American culture? Do you seek input or advice? How authentic is your regalia?
Eagle92 110
Great question. I know that in the lodge I came up in, Chilantakoba 397, there was an excellent relationship that did cool down over time. But it was revived some when we had an elder come in and help teach us how to dance after several years of no dancers. While the regalia for ceremonies was Plains, there was a chapter trying to replicate Houma regalia. The relationship was mutual in that we did have lodge members and former lodge members helping them with their bid for federal recognition.
