We've had the discussion several times regarding how often one needs to change underwear on a Scout trip. The boys calculated that they can "change" underwear front-to-back, right side out-to-inside out and get four days out of the same drawers. If you and your tent mate are approximately the same size, you could change underwear with him, go through the same rotation and get a full week of camp out of one pair of shorts.
