Cub Scout historical photos sought

Does anyone know where Cub Scout historical photos (old uniforms, handbooks, badges, groups of Cub Scouts etc.) can be found? I'd love to make a video (DVD or powerpoint)presentation for our B&G.

Hi,

What came to mind for historical photos was Norman Rockwell. So I searched. At www.normanrockwellvt.com there is a whole section of his Boy Scouts pictures. I think they will work for ya. If not they are still great to look at.

My son's den was responsible for researching the 40's for old photos for our B & G centerpiece. I also found the Norman Rockwell pictures to be the best. Some other hints are look on e-bay and also do some google searches such as "Scouting 1940's" or Scouting during WWII. Good Luck, I found it a very difficult task!

Scout Nut has some great ideas, but the one he gave you...(I can tell you from experience of going to that website during my search) the only way to get those pictures is to print out the page, it will not let you copy any image on that site. Best of Luck!

You can't copy - but you can save!

Many of the images are copyrighted and should not be reproduced without permission. I asked and got a zip file of the images with the request to give credit on the program to the editor of the photos.
