A local troop is considering a trip to the Maine High Adventure area...when I was 16, I did an Allagash Wilderness Waterway trip there with my troop, and it was fantastic (it was a national high adventure area back then). One of my friends loved it so much that he became a guide there the next two summers.

Pamlico cancelled our week this year (and the week before) due to lack of interest, and refunded our money. If you go, be sure to have a Plan B (we didn't...didn't even occur to us that it might be cancelled).

Treasure Island ;)

It may be hometown bias, but its really a great camp. I always have looked forward to it as a scout and even now as an adult.

Oldest continually running scout camp, birthplace of the OA, and as far as I know, the only scout camp that is actually an island. Layout of the camp and the program are pretty awesome too.
