looking for room for camp-in in dtwn. chicago

We are in need of a clean, safe gym or room with access to a bathroom facility for a trip this summer with the girl scouts. Must accomodate approx. 15 to 20 people (sleeping bags). I have heard there is a military base that lets you use their gym near chicago. Maybe Northwestern also?? Prefer downtown area. Only needed for sleeping-two nights in July or August 2003. Need to keep costs down. Are there any???

You might also contact your nearest military reserve center and see if they can put you in touch with a Scouting Liason person. Back in the 80's I was taking Boy Scout Troops all across the country on trips and we stayed at lots of Reserve Centers and Air Force and Navy installations.

We took our boy scout troop last January and stayed in a youth hostel downtown. It was real nice and they put us in dormitory style rooms with shared bathrooms. It was within walking distance of the Navy Pier and the other waterfront attractions. I don't remember the costs but it was very reasonable.
