We're going to split the ch11.x thread in 2. The original will be kept as it was intended, for the legal aspects of the case and everything else will go here. In a nutshell, if the judge is dealing with the details of it or the lawyers are arguing over it, it goes in the old thread. Everything else goes here. That means if it's about what's morally correct vs legally correct, it goes here. If it's about the future of the chartered orgs, it goes here. If it's about what the BSA knew when, it goes here. If it's about healing, it goes here. If it's about what YP should look like, it goes here.

Many of those in this forum have up-close and personal experiences with local executives, local boards, etc. I do not. As an outsider, and I have seen this before with other not-for-profits. To quote Pacino's character from Scent of a Woman, "when the going gets tough, some guys run and other guys stay." My point is this: Are these local execs and volunteer board members with none of their skin in the game, the types that will run or the ones that stay. This topic is to discuss the legal bankruptcy case against the BSA. The 2nd amended, 5th plan is currently going through voting of all parties. It's hard to decide where and how to jump back in to the discussion after the big slow. I think it's still better for everyone, especially the majority of claimants if some universal settlement is achieved.
