  3. In Black and white does and one now the cost of having a kid in Scouting for a year??? What costs to count and what you do not. Registration?? Boys Life?? Scout Uniform? Summer Camp? District Events? Council Events? Camping equipment for the weekend? Scout camp? A fiend has asked me this question & I want to give him a response. thanks for your help.

  5. I am not relly going to add anthing to this disscution because everthing has been said. But Just have the scouters come every month. I have been a round table comm for 4 and 1/2 years.
  6. I am going to keep this simple, The unit that wnt to Philmont does not come o the roundtable on a regular baasis. Getting them to the rouable has been a problem. Can a get someone who has hike the AT or part of the AT(Maine to the Delware River Gap). Yew. Also the person whould be me. When I mean show, There is Presienation each moth.   7. I have been the roundtable Commisionor for the district for 4 1/2 years. I do not know where the time has gone? This months theme is hiking. I am planning on showing them on how to pack a pack for hiking and giving them places to hike or because I have had mayor knee surgury where to walk. Any other ideas?? BT
  8. Great Question!!!! It started about 8.5 years ago(longer) when I was helping with the roundtable. Then I was roundtable staff now I'm the Roundtable Commissioner.
  9. How do you fund the roundtables if the Council does not give you any funds??? If they do it is minunum.
  10. Congratulations. The person or persons who put you in for it probably though you dissevered it. When I received mine, I was taking photos of the event was told; Brian its going to be hard for you to take the photo of the next recipient.
  11. I've received the DAM. I was quite surprised! I have also recommended Scouters for DAM and the Silver Beaver. In the council that I am with if award dinners are the well attended.
  12. I am a Boy Scout Roundtable Commissioner and a need some help looking the Boy Scout roundtable guide or program help. I went to scoutstuff.org and they only the Venturing Roundtable Guide or the Cub Scout Roundtable Guide. Does any one know where I can get a copy of the Boy Scout Roundtable Guide or Program help.
  13. Well, I have been a Boy Scout Commissioner for three years and Roundtable Staff before that. Communcations: Email everyone, If you can not email everyone - call the Scoutmaster and the Committee Chairman. Also send try to send them postcards. Location: Have it the same location and time. 3rd week of the month at the College. Program: Develop a program and promote it. Tell the leaders that everything is also subject to change. Things happen. Bring in guest speakers and have each unit run the program at the roundtable. If you need ideas for the roundtable try looking

  21. Getting beaded at day camp would have been the best thing. It can also happen at the distric dinner, roundtable, boy scout camp, camporee, or at any other scout activity.
