Those are the e-cards that I have seen UCEagle72. I am talking about the requirement that states "Make contact with at least 5 adult alumni, not currently registered with the BSA, engage them in a serious discussion about the Scouting program, provide them each with an Alumni Connection card and follow-up to see if they have visited the web site." I would think that in order to engage them in a serious discussion you would have to talk to them face to face, and that provide them each with an Alumni Connection card would be a business card like card with instructions on how to registe

Yep, I am signed up and ready to go. In fact even have completed some of the requirements, but I can not find these Alumni Connection Cards? Have even asked our Council and they do not know yet either.

Does anyone know what the Alumni Connection Card (Alumni Award) is and where you can download/order? Thank in advance!

We did our AOL Ceremony and Crossover with the OA a couple of weeks ago and were (and still are) under a burn ban. We put a battery powered lantern under a teepee fire and it worked fine. It was still a memorable experience and the Scouts and parents are still saying thank you for such an awesome job!

I am starting to put together our Pack's End of Year Survey. This is our second year and we did make changes to this years program based on the input from last year. We are going to do the same this year and asking more questions. This is done through Surveymonkey and we are limited to 10 questions, though we can manipulate some of the "questions" and ask multiple "questions." I can't seem to get the community to come up on myscouting.org, anyone have any idea if it is still up and going?

Last year, this is the schedule that we used for our first campout in a few year. It went well and the kids are excited about doing it again. The next fall we tripled the amount of Scouts and families that went on a Council sponsored two night camping experience. We are going to use this same schedule, except offer two belt loops at a time, so that they get to choose. I would suggest camping somewhere that has a playground. I received this in an email this afternoon.... The national NESA Committee has voted to increase NESA membership fees effective July 1, 2011. This is the first increase in nearly 20 years. The current fees are only $25 for a five-year membership and $180 for life membership. Beginning July 1, the fees will increase to $35 for a five-year membership and $250 for life membership. Myself and two of my Den Leaders are dues paying members of our local Lodge. In the past, our Pack had leaders that wore no knots or were not involved in the Order. That is changing. My Tiger Den Leader is an Eagle and past Lodge Chief, I am the Cubmaster and Wolf Den Leader, Eagle and Lodge member, and my Webelos I is an Eagle and member of the Lodge. The requirement says Be active in your Webelos den for at least six months since completing the fourth grade (or for at least six months since becoming 10 years old), and earn the Webelos badge. Before we start working on the Bear badge next year, I want to get direction on the Arrow Points for the Bear badge. Cub Scout can go back and do requirements from the Achievements section of the book and use them as requirements for arrow points, as long as they do not count any requirements from achievements that they used to earn the Bear badge. Unused parts of achievements that were used for the Bear badge may NOT be counted toward Arrow Points. I take this statement as this. If you could tell National about a change in the Cub Scout 2010 program, what would it be? In Wolf Den meeting 15, you are supposed to earn the Marbles belt loop. In Arrow of Light meeting 15, you are supposed to earn the Marbles belt loop. I know it is not that big of deal, but I would think that you would develop what is basically a set of lesson plans that would not be a duplication of previous years. In April our District will be hosting a Scout-O-Rama. The idea is to get Scouting into the public eye and showing all the great and fun things that we do. The Troops are doing cooking demonstrations, setting up a camp, bringing a trebuchet, etc. They have asked the Packs to particiapte as well. One Pack is setting up their Pinewood Derby track and we are now starting the process of gathering ideas. What have you done in the past? What have you seen or heard about working at a Scout-O-Rama? This year we have switched from the big banquet to cupcakes and ice cream. Our Pack goal is to have our Ranks completed to be presented. We also do a special program. This year we are inviting past Cubmasters and school administrators to come and be a part of the celebration and hope that it will be a tradition. For us it lines out having the Pinewood in January, B&G in February, Crossover in March, a fun meeting in April and a Pack campout in May. Our Spring is almost planned before we start. Our Troops are the ones who directed us to do the crossover in March for reasons

When I was TDL I took each achievement and elective and wrote in where they could accomplish it. I used local museums, stores, etc. I had a friend who wrote one for his Wood Badge ticket as well. You might ask some of the people who have gone through Wood Badge and maybe one of them has done the work before.
