I have an online web application that supports Badge Management at

Currently I have Leaders from Australia, Belgium, England, Ireland, Wales, Canada and the USA reducing their Volunteer time with the online tool.

Do you think this would be a good tool for the Boy Scouts of America web site?

I am thinking of offering them the software as a gift, a gift to the Scouting Movement Worldwide.

This would allow all of us to be working with a single consistent interface that redcues time, houses all Badge History and Activity in one central web site, creates a bond between Parents and Scouting with their direct involvement with the Badge Management process, automates the creation of a Shopping List for the Leader, allows Badge History for a Scout to be transferred to another Section or between Towns to a New Leader or to a new State. It has a feature that allows a Leader/Volunteer to transfer all their hard work in Badge Manager to a new Leader if they are leaving or would just like to transfer duties.

There are all kinds of available statistics like Completed, Presented and popular Badge counts by Country. This would allow Leaders from any town to work together with a single consistent interface and so much more.

Do you think they would be interested in this?

Hi Everyone!

I have updated the online web application. When a Cub Leader assigns a Badge to a Section and then to Cubs, the Parent can view the Badge Requirements online in what I call a Badge Hierarchy! The Parent can mark that Badge Requirements are complete for their Cub and an email is automatically sent to the Leader for pro-active follow-up at the next meeting. The system has Inventory Management, builds a Shopping List, creates Keepsake Cards for the Parent/Scout, includes Cub and Scout Badges/Requirements and so much more.

Can anyone point me to a web site that has the Badges and Requirements in electronic format for the USA (MS-Word or Text file)? I have the Badges loaded but would like to add the Requirements.

Hi Everyone!

I am a Cub Leader in Oxford Station outside of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I create Enterprise Web applications for a living and if there is one thing we are really missing, it is a tool to manage Badge History. We need something that has the ability to record the Completion Status of a Badge, something that can transfer Badge History from Cubs to Scouts or between a City, Province or Country.

I have created a web application to manage Badge History that uses cutting edge technology. Any Leader (Cub, Scout, etc) can assign Badges to their Scouts. The Leader can track and record the Completion or Presentation status of a Badge, transfer Badge History, export a Badge Shopping List and so much more. It's a dream to use, quick to setup; almost everything is a point and click.

The Parent can also interact with the system to indicate the Completion of Requirements to achieve a Badge. When a Badge is flagged as Complete the system automatically routes an email to the Leader for pro-active follow-up.

The system is also private; it does not have any form or mechanism to capture personal information! It uses a combination of unique numbers that are issued to the Parent to retrieve Badge History.

Currently we have Leaders from Australia, Belgium, Canada, England and Wales working with the system. We need your help to test it and provide feedback. Any assistance in getting the word out to Leaders and Scouts would be much appreciated.
