  1. I want to "second" the request to allow capitalization of acronyms in thread titles, if that is feasible. This comes up on a regular basis, mostly because this forum is mostly about the "BSA" and people want to use that in thread titles. "Bsa" does not look right. And recently someone started a thread that I am sure they intended to title "NPR Story On BSA/LDS Relationship" but it came out "Npr Story On Bsa/lds Relationship." That looks silly.

    Done!

  2. Hi all,

We hope you're enjoying and gearing up with the new Forum software..

Well, today we have some good news for you.. Now you can enjoy a new Forum theme named Glare.. Choose the theme from bottom-left option Change Theme.. After selection, customize it as per your choice from options/buttons available at top-right header..

Hope you'll like the new theme..

Don't hesitate to leave your feedback, please..

    Thanks

    SCOUTER Team

EDIT: We'll be adding more features from time to time to make the Forum a success!

  3. Then there are things the Admin can't change.  He was adamant that with Firefox running on a PC the new thread listing was on the right.  He had a screen shot to show it.  I in turn showed a screen shot using Firefox running on a PC with the new comments listed at the bottom.  So there are things the Admin has no control over and require the attention of product support to rectify.

    Sir,

The Latest Posts feature is a module which displays on the sidebar as a default. However, since the Forum is Responsive (fits w.r.t PC/Tablet/Mobile), the modules running on the sidebars are shifted downwards automatically on a Tablet or Mobile so as to adjust the Forum according to the device width. Moreover, this can also be tested/happen on a regular PC/Mac if you have scaled-down your browser intentionally - whereas scaling it to 100% (1024 x 768 or above) will restore the module to appear on the sidebar again.

So, I suspect the latter is the case with you, since none except you have reported this issue.

  4. Stosh I am happy you are now HTML enriched..

No. As per Forum backend settings, we've DISABLED the Posting as pure HTML feature, its neither enabled for Member nor for Moderator group. Reason because, allowing a member to post pure/raw HTML is a dangerous thing which can be used to inject a malicious code. Although the Forum software tries to filter some of the harmful HTML content, yet it is NOT foolproof and this tag CAN be used to steal session cookies, redirect members and destroy the topic view layout, etc.

So, yes, it's a disabled feature for now. However, members can use the RTE (Rich Text Editor), that allows them to do anything except posting raw/pure HTML content. Take some time to understand the RTE features. I'm sure you would like it.

I'm finding the text a bit blurry.  maybe it's a contrast thing or color choice....

It's definitely not my monitor since I've not noticed it with many other sites and local applications.....

Please elaborate with some screenshots, so we can look into the matter.

What is the timeout on the edit?.. I am looking at my post above and I'm embarrassed over my  using the word through rather then threw.. The edit feature was there right after I posted, it even has a little message I had edited it.. But now I have no option to edit..  I guess time is up to correct, I am left to play the fool

Standard edit time set for Member group is 15 minutes. They are not allowed to edit their posts after the time lapse. This is to make sure that members have the privilege to edit their content within a reasonable timeframe, yet must be restricted to keep the sanctity of their opinion.

I'm a forum profile geek of sorts, I like customizing them (don't ask, I just do, lol.) Is there any particular reason why some genders are hidden and some are not? I can't seem to find where you plug that particular info in (sorry if I'm using the wrong thread to ask this!)

The gender profile field has been enabled for members.

By the way even the way the website looks varies between browsers.  When people are told that the latest forum responses are listed at the right, that is correct for IE and Chrome, but they are listed at the bottom in Firefox.

The Latest Posts feature is similar across every browser platform when using a PC or Mac. Here's the screenshot for Firefox, showing it at the sidebar as in other browsers.

  5. Hi,

Thanks for the appreciation bro. Although a huge effort to migrate from vBulletin to IP.Board, but was manageable at last :)

OK, I can see already that somewhere there is a clock problem, lol. And I'm certain it isn't my computer.

You can adjust your time from:

User Control Panel (top-right) --> Profile Setting --> Time Zone

Note: Members encountering any issues, please open up a topic or post in Support sub forum.
