  2. I figured NAM was a scaled up version of a Roundtable when the Council Key 3 come and cherry pick some numbers and stats and explain to us how great things are.

  3. I have not been to a NAM, but I have been to an ALL HANDS conference, which every BSA professional was required to attend. It was a mix of information sessions, speakers, and socializing. While they did give everyone a copy of the scripts used by the presenters for all session, some presenters had a lot experience on the topics and was able to give info beyond the script in Q&A sessions. Some presenters strictly followed the scripts they were given. In today's age of technology, it may have been better to do it as a teleconference and recordings..

  4. That was my question. Normally a meeting is a discussion to reach a conclusion. This sounds more like an expensive briefing on how things are going to proceed from here. That could be published rather than spending thousands of dollars that the organization doesn't have to spare. How many units could have been stood up in poor areas for the amount that was spent?

  6. @Protoclete is correct as relates to the Roman Catholic Church. His use of episcopal is lower case in this instance by design.
