Nominated by the District Committee, officially awarded by the Council. and we have ::: Bowline: For Scouters that "hold things up" unit Leaders that keep Scouting going for their units (decided by Unit Committee) Sheetbend: For Scouters that "hold things together" ac

  2. Historically, Commissioners had a blue insignia and Professionals had red. Now we both wear a red patch, but if you look closely at the current commissioner patch, it still has a blue fleur de lis

  4. For the months from March - June our ship did Zoom meetings and lost scouts. For the months from June - September our Ship sailed every week in single handed boats and stayed stable. That said, if your bank account has immense amounts of money in it, and your bank statement notes a "withholding", then you must file to get the witholding back, assuming your unit is a non-profit and you need that money back. yeah, gotta file . If no withholding, and a paucity of money in your account, check with your tax accountant.

  9. I remember the name, never had the honor of meeting her in person. By Packsaddle's recommendation, the Scout world is much less by her departure. My sympathy and prayers to the family.

  12. To my fellow moderators, I have returned briefly to deliver some sad news. Please place this notification wherever you think it fits best. To all in the Forums and especially any 'old-timers' who are still keeping in touch, I am deeply saddened, in tears in fact, to notify you that one of our good friends, gwd-scouter , with whom I shared many good times in both Scouting and other times, who some of you may remember was a champion of social justice both in and outside of Scouting, whose passion for the outdoors, Scouting, and family was immense, came to life's end this morning at 0213
