  2. I see you have asked a lot if questions regarding uniform and insignia. Please forgive me if you have already read: https://www.scouting.org/resources/insignia-guide/ Beyond the official BSA resource, I think it is a good practice to then defer all other uniforming questions NOT included in the BSA guide to the PLC. I use this approach as it is then directly related to achieving the aims of scouting.

  3. Not authorized. Please refer to the Uniform and Insignia guide. Good rule of thumb is, if it's not BSA issued, it's not authorized.

  6. That document does not say that a girl must participate in the cookie sale to earn gold award. The requirment is that participation in both the cookie sale and the fall product sale is required in order to do any other money earning acitivities: This is encouraging the scouts to do the sales to "be prepared" "in the event that they need raise additional funds towards their Gold Award Project". It is not requiring them to do so.

  7. Micheal Del Vecchio is national's number cruncher. You might want to reach out to him. Also the scouting museum may have a compilation. You mar want to send them an inquiry.

  8. For all in this thread, remember not all GSUSA units are the same just like not all troops are the same. The poor behavior of one troop or one SU is not necessarily indicative of the whole. While I have also seen examples of poor behavior by GSUSA units, let us not assume they represent the whole in the same manner they appear to be assuming a few BSA units that are recruiting incorrectly represent the whole.
