So pretty much do what Scouts UK did. They awarded the title "Chief Scout" to Bear Grylls. Doesn't make any key decisions, but acts as the ceremonial head to the organization.
National will never go for it. They love their key 3 setup too much
The unofficial rule for professionals is one row of knots. Its super super super extremely mega rare, but a professional scouter can earn the DAM, but only while simultaneously being a volunteer. My guess is Surbaugh joined up with a pack or troop back in the day.
I emailed the SM and expressed my concerns regarding the worksheets and my son’s learning disability. He replied with several options, including skipping the worksheets altogether.
They will continue to use the worksheets in the troop, but I’m glad this accommodation was made for my son.
Thanks for the helpful advice. It was nice to get your feedback and suggestions on how to effectively approach the SM with my concerns.
Somehow I don't think the girls give two hoots whether it's called "Boys Life" or "Scout Life".
Since it looks like the editors did a search and replace on "Boys Life" and replaced it with "Scout Life". They add a few more pictures with girls. Sounds exactly like the same magazine to me.
