New Uniform Inspection Sheets

Recommended Posts

I have looked but not found one yet. I am most curious as to where the trained strip goes. Does it go in the same place (below pos) on the old uniform and (above pos )on the pocket flap of the new uniform? This would imply a different inspetion sheet for each old and new uniforms. If a leader completes training this fall and receives the new trained strip, where does he put that if he has an old shirt?

And does a Venturing leader place the new strip on the green uniform shirt? Thankfully we don't wear trained strips on our sea scout uniforms.

As rhetorical, as that rant sounded, I coordinate Position Specific Training (Cub Scout through Sea Scout) for my district, so I would really like to find the answers.

See my other thread but I was told today that the Scout Shops were directed to destroy all the Red-based patches like the "Trained" patch. So, if you need a replacement, or buy a new "old" uniform shirt you will have to use the new "Trained" patch unless you can find one somewhere other than the Official outlets.

Of course, it is going to get so you'll need a binder to keep the different uniform inspection sheets in. I doubt that we will be a seeing a new uniform shirt in my (son's) troop until the next Webelos crossover, except I guess for the boys who grow into the next size between now and then and find only new-style shirts to buy. Uniform inspections should be a blast now -- any item that appears on any inspection sheet is ok.

Around our scout shop, there was a cardboard backed picture of the left shoulder specifically showing off the new sleeve pocket with the trained patch on the pocket flap. Also, I saw they still have red numbers there, but only green trained patches. The green trained patch also looked quite a bit smaller than the red ones were.(This message has been edited by gaucho)
