jyoungun 10
Hello, I am a 27 year old Eagle Scout and have been invited to speak at a cousin's Eagle ceremony. I am wondering what is proper to wear on my shirt as far as patches.....the Eagle square knot? should any of my troop affiliation patches be included? Thanks in advance. Gonzo1 10
jyoungun, Welcome, Congratulations to you and your cousin. Are you currently registered in scouting? If so, wear your uniform. If not, I would wear a suit or appropriate attire (open collar dress shirt, sport coat) and put an Eagle lapel pin on your left lapel. See this link for suggestions. http://www.scoutstuff.org/BSASupply/default.aspx?ctgy=PRODUCTS&C2=GIFTS&C3=JEWELRY&C4=&LV=3 Have a nice day. Gonzo
emb021 16
As this is an Eagle Court of Honor, there would also be nothing incorrect about wearing your Eagle Medal. You can wear this on your BSA uniform (if you are still registered in scouting) or on your suit coat. An adult wearing an Eagle Medal at a formal occassional like this is perfectly fine. The wearing of the small eagle lapel pin would be ok to wear on your suit coat during non-formal occasions.
