Shoreranger 10 Posted November 13, 2014 Share Posted November 13, 2014 Can't quite cover (no pun intended) the retail price at the Scout Shop, and for some reason my bid didn't register on eBay for one in my size ( my bid was higher than the winning bid, and on-time!). I wear a size 7 3/8 and am partial to an actual Stetson, but would be grateful for an unused or very gently used BSA version of any manufacture. The eBay auction my id didn't register for closed at $62, and that's around what I could offer for the right hat. LeCastor 641 Posted November 13, 2014 Share Posted November 13, 2014 When I was a youth a friend of the family gave me a USMC campaign hat from Cherry Point, NC. I suggest you befriend a Marine. Or you could do as Ken suggests and go with a Rothco version. Try Vermont's Barre military surplus. OR...put some money away little by little and purchase the Stetson from BSA.
