The Lighter Side of Scouting The Scoutmaster's Car A Scoutmaster and his wife were driving to the District Recognition Banquet. As they came to the crest of a hill, a speeding car, driving over the center line, came towards them. The Scoutmaster tried to honk his horn to warn the other driver to move over. But, to his surprise, the horn was silent. Luckily, the speeding car swerved back to its own side of the road and sped on down the highway. The Scoutmaster pulled over to the side of the road, grabbed his toolbox from the trunk and lifted the hood. Sure enough! The wire to the horn had become disconnected. The Scoutmaster reconnected the wire. Got back in the car. Tried the horn. It worked fine. The Scoutmaster turned to his wife and said with a grin, "Beep repaired!" * * * Heard any good Scouting jokes lately? Send them to MaryAnn to post on this page.
