Iowa Boy Scout Camps - ScoutCamp.org
This site gives details on all Iowa Boy Scout Camps including local weather forecasts, map coordinates, driving directions, and an opportunity for you to leave your own comments & reviews about the camps. Non BSA Camp sites are also listed.
HAWKEYE - Camp Waubeek
Council has very little info on their website about this camp except for a new Veterans Memorial area. Future plans call for a new Cub World here.
HAWKEYE - Howard H. Cherry Scout Reserv.
Hawkeye Councils prime Scout Reservation is divided into two camps: Camp Wakonda & the Cub Scout Camp, Camp Waubeek. This is the main camp information page from the council's own website.
MID AM. (NE) - Little Sioux Scout Ranch
The Little Sioux Scout Ranch is approximately one hour north of Omaha, Nebraska in Iowa's Loess Hills. The 1,800 acre ranch is approximately 15 minutes east of Interstate 29 off the Little Sioux exit (#95).
MID IOWA CO - Camp Mitigwa
Camp Mitigwa is the largest of the Mid-Iowa Council's properties. It is located near Boone, Iowa, and is the council's main summer camp for Boy Scouts and Webelos Scouts.
MID IOWA CO - Camp Wapello
Camp Wapello is located on the water’s edge of Scout Bay on Lake Wapello in the southeastern part of the council. It was a part of Bo Qui Council and is now managed by a private foundation dedicated to Scouting.
MID IOWA CO - Foster Acres
Foster Acres is a property that lies adjacent to the Indian Hills College in Ottumwa. It features hiking trails & a brand new facility, Strother Lodge. Strother Lodge was built and dedicated in the summer of 1996 by Mid-Iowa Council.
MID IOWA CO - Grinnell Scoutland
This is a beautiful piece of property located in Grinnell, Iowa. Grinnell Scoutland has several sites for tent camping and offers rustic bathroom facilities. There is a beautiful open-air shelter that sits atop a hill by the parade field at Scoutland.
N.E. IOWA CO - Camp Burton
Camp Burton is a forty acre camp operated and maintained by the Northeast Iowa Council. The Camp is situated just twelve miles north of Dubuque off Highway 52 on Boy Scout Road. The Camp offers camping, a heated lodge for winter use.
N.E. IOWA CO - Camp C.S. Klaus
Camp C.S. Klaus is located approximately 3 miles west of Colesburg, Iowa just off Highway 3. Operated by the Northeast Iowa Council, this camp has , has a 12 acre lake, rifle, shotgun, & archery ranges, and 8 campsites with a capacity for 175 youth.
WINNEBAGO - Camp Ignawanis
Located near Waverly, Iowa, Camp Ingawanis is home to swimming, hiking, camping, shooting sports, and horseback riding. Rolling hills and winding trails make Camp Ingawanis a challenging place to hike.
WINNEBAGO - Winnebago Scout Reservation
Located on the Shell Rock River, just 2.5 miles north of Marble Rock, Iowa, Winnebago Scout Reservation offers quality outdoor experience for all groups. WSR offers 385 acres of pristine wilderness teeming with wildlife and dotted with nature trails.
