Burshears, James Francis
Born in 1909, Buck Burshears became the first Eagle Scout in southeastern Colorado. Scoutmaster of the Koshare Indian Dancers from 1933 until his death in 1987, Buck was awarded the highest honors given to an adult Scouter.

Bass was a Boy Scout and a member of Troop 6. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout at age 12. He attended the International Scout Jamboree at Arrowe Park, Birkenhead, England in 1929. The U.S.S. Brinkley Bass was named for him.
