National Junior Leadership Training Site
This is a website for council leaders around the nation who are developing or supporting the new BSa Junior Leader Training program.
National Junior Leader Instructor Camp
This is THE absolute ultimate training course for today's Scouting youth. Held every summer at Philmont Scout Ranch councils send their key youth JLT staffers to this week long course which will help prepare them for leading council courses back home.
AL - Whitefire JLT from northern Alabama
The now defunct Tennessee Valley Council had this dynamic program to offer an 8 day outdoor experience for youth leaders in support of the Scoutmaster's responsibility for the training of his Troop's junior leaders.
AZ - Silver Axe Grand Canyon Co. JLT
Junior Leader Training is a must for all troops. The Grand Canyon Council offers Silver Axe, which is based off of the national JLTC staff guide. Silver Axe is held during the summer before and after summer camp.
CA - Acorn JLT Training Verdugo Hills Co
The Verdugo Hills Council offers a version of this Unit JLT program,called Acorn Training. This is offered twice a year, coinciding with the outdoor weekend portion of Scoutmastership Fundamentals.
CA - Brownsea JLT San Francisco Bay Area
Brownsea-JLT is offered by San Francisco Bay Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, starting on the 3rd Sunday of June each year and is open to Boy Scouts from all Councils.
OH - Greater Western Reserve Council
Information on the JLT course conducted at Camp Chickagami in the Greater Western Reserve Council in Parkman, Ohio.
PA - Great Medicine JLT - N.E PA Council
The junior leader training conference is a seven-day outdoor experience for boy leaders in support of the Scoutmaster's responsibility for the training of troop junior leaders. This program is operated in the Northeast Pennsylvania Council.
WV - JLT Mountaineer Area Council
All scouts in Mountaineer Area Council that are at least 13 years old, a First Class Scout, and are filling a leadership position in the troop are invited to attend the Junior Leader Training Conference from August 19 to 22 at Camp Mountaineer.
