Back some months ago, I put time into sending letters to National on
this subject and was pretty much glossed over. But I did get a
response, so at least I know I made it somewhere in there records.
Maybe the Goodwill link is the missing piece that could get some
attention.

However, while it's possible that discussing this online might generate
some good activity up with the Powers-That-Be, IMHO this is too open
ended. Kinda like saying "Someone should do something about that!" and
hoping that the "Someone" is paying attention.

I would suggest that anyone and everyone concerned about this actually
write a snail-mail letter to National. I don't think any one person on
this list has a voice loud enough to cause a change up there, but a
flurry of letters from us insignificant dirt-sucking volunteers might
wake someone up. I also wonder if this could be a topic for our local
roundtables.

Anyway, when I was going through my little campaign, I was given the
following addresses. I added Mr. Ratcliffe, at the following Irving
address, and my local Council Exec to the list.

National Supply Committee
BSA National Council Office
1325 West Walnut Hill Lane
P.O. Box 152079
Irving, TX 75015-2079

Joseph Coco
Director
Supply Division, BSA
P.O. Box 7143
Charlotte, NC 28241-7143

If anyone wants a copy of the letter I sent as a base for their own,
I'll be glad to send it out. Maybe I'll even send out another one to
National with the Goodwill thing added. But then I might become a pain
in their side - wouldn't want that, would I?
