Patrol Flags

I am curious to know since I don't seem to see too many Patrol Flags =
being used at Scout functions. My son's Troop attended summer camp+ADs- =
the leader's guide said bring a patrol flag. But after arrival at camp I =
didn't notice very many nor do I see them used at camporees during role =
call, etc.=20
What gives?
