Anitra L Whittle asked for information on Jamboree On The Internet (JOTI). To
find this information, go to the World Scout Bureau web site at
http://www.scout.org/ Link at "Scouting Events" then link at JOTI along the
left scroll bar. You can also go directly to the JOTI information at
http://www.scout.org/joti/ If you scroll down the left scroll bar on the JOTI
web page, you can find information on chat areas and then email contact lists.
U.S. Scouts and Scouters should be aware that, because of youth protection
concerns, JOTI has not yet been approved as a BSA activity. In my opinion, if
U.S. Scouts participate, it should be only with adult supervision and from
adults' email addresses.
