Pack Frame Plans

A long time ago (early 60's) our troop (147 Del-Mar-Va Council) had some
plans for a pack frame made out of spruce/white pine and cotton cord. I
actually had one of these and it worked pretty darn well, it was also dirt
cheap and easy to make. Does anyone recall or have any plans for something
like this?
I have several scouts that money is a real problem for, this would be a
great project as well as useful.
