Looks like a great idea to me..."you did good"!
I like point #1 where you suggest an "excused absence". I've always done
the same for my scouts...attendance at sports activities when they
conflicted with scouts was an "excused absence" from den meetings, troop
meetings, crew meetings. Flexibility on the part of scout leaders, coaches
and parents goes a long way toward making things right for the kids.
