Re: Wood Badge ticket items for Advancement

(Sarah wanted to start thinking about Woodbadge ticket items as a District
Advancement Charman)

Here are some ideas to use as ressources when you prepare your ticket--

We put on an annual District Advancement Basics class at roundtable time
for new advancement people from troops. We encourage the "regular"
advancement person to bring a back-up person for training.

We offer to come out and do a "advancemnent tune up" hour that we will
present to any troop committee of group of ASMs

We take responsibility for the advancemnt part of scoutmaster fundamentals

We offer to come out and do a "merit badge counselor" training for a
troop's adults. We teach
that at the same time as a troop meeting is going on.

We teach an "advancement at summer camp" session in the late spring for
ASMs or Advancement people

We teach a "steep spots on the trail to first class for SM, ASM etc in
parallel to a roundtable.

(I have outlines of each of the above in MS Word)

Yes, we are an active advancement committee of about half a dozen people
and we have lots of fun together!
