Ned,
Some councils have banned the use of liquid fuel stoves on council-owned
property, but this is not a BSA policy nationwide. I've been told, and I
probably
should confirm it, that our council recently retracted its ban. Personally,
I found
the ban to be oxymoronic since we had to use the same liquid fuel stoves in
our
practice sessions in council camps as we would later use at Philmont.
