I hated to see some boys go home with only a patch and we made certificates
for the non style winners using the same idea. Here are some our judges came
up with: (I can't remember them all off the top of my head - we have 65
boys, I will try to get a list)

Put a "best", "most" or "neatest" as appropriate like "most patriotic"

Anything that follows the design of the car:
muscle car, roadster, tiger car, etc

paint job
use of color
use of stickers
narly
radical

I would be iterested to hear some of the ideas you and others have used.
