Re: breach of trust

They did sign a permission to sell form which says they wil be held
responsible for the money, and this needs to be passed on to council
immediately upon refusal to pay up.

This did happen once in our service unit, and it did adversely affect the
girls troop. Unfortunately council can do little more than call and send
notices to collect the money. Sometimes an official call from council
can be enough, or if the family is wiling to work out some sort of
payment of restitution (monthly payments) since it was a family hardship
that drove this person to do this.

In our case the money ($200-$400--=memory escapes me now) was not enough
money to constitute an effective legal action, the costs being to great.

Our service unit did chip in to buy the girls their incentives because
they also lost these in the mess.

It is a horrible situation to be in, but council needs to be made aware
and try to take some kind of action.
