The BEAR Rank, elective #13, "Saving Well, Spending Well" (Family section)
requires the scout do 4 of the 7 items listed. The second item is:
"Set up a savings account."

Our small town bank doesn't have a minimum balance and also waives the $2
monthly service charge for account holders under age 18.
