Jim, congratulations on a successful meeting. Don't forget to
check it in a few weeks to make sure it stays on track.

Call the District Advancement Chairman, ask for the training that
they give their advancement committee members. It is in the Dist
Ops Training that Kathy C. was talking about very recently. If
you don't get a good response from Advancement, call the Training
Chairman, a majotr portion of the Cub Scout BASIC Leader Training
covers advancement from a pack leaders view, CSBLT also has
a requirement for the resources that you are looking for.

Excuse me, but this is a Cub Scout program with parent/family
involvement. The adult comes with the cub. Check out the
Webelos Leader Outdoor Training session (training). Policy is
also covered in the Guide to Safe Scouting.

Training usuaslly has a copy, agian for the CSBLT session. Yellow
cover, can not rememvber the name, something about Cub Scout Leader
Book. Chapter 4 has the job description for just about every function.
COR, CC, MC (finance, advancement, etc...)

You may want to review the Cub Scout application and the duties and
responsibilities of the Pack and Parents, Chapter 9, comes to mind.

Ages and Stages video, AV-01V008
Cub Scout Leader Book, 33220, there is a new printing out
with the corrected Leader Training Awards.
BSA Family Book, 33012
Cub Scout Basic Leader Training, check out the SCC reference list

Have the Training types spend an evening with you and the Pack in
question. It may be worth the 4.5 hours of training to get the
current Cub Scout program and policies, also some youth protection.

Some other things to check out:

Train-the-Trainer does a cub scout split session just on the
training material, it is always changing.

Check out your Commissioner College, it should be presenting these
topics in more general terms.

Your Welcome!

Yours in Training, er sorry, Scouting
