Help for a new UC

Thanks for the replies.

The meeting went ok. There was a lot of extra talk that got nothing done and
some arguing but I did get some important points accross.

1) The Cub Master/Webelos Den Leader is going to choose one position.

2) They are now aware of the 2 deep requirements. They were having 1 deep
meetings

3) I emphasized that there should be a letter for parents detailing when and
how information is given out and with telephone numbers. Or better yet a
newsletter.

4) I noted that most of the youth were not getting Boys Life and that many of
the parents present were not registered.

5) I mentioned having assistant den leaders so meetings do not depend upon
one individual.

Now new questions.....

1) Has anyone ever had a charter without an IH listed?

2) What should I get in order to familiarize myself with advancement
requirements. Hopefully without going and buying 4-5 Scout books. I have
old ones. Advancement sheets?

3) What is the Webelo to Scouter ratio for camping? Usually at a council
camp.

4) Anybody have a list of committee job descriptions. (advancement chairman
etc.)

5) Anybody have an example of a new parent letter for Cub Scouts?

6) What is the reference for Cub Leaders (ie Scoutmaster's Handbook)

One of my problems now is re familiarizing myself with the Cub Scout Program.
It's been a long time.

Again Thanks in Advance,

Jim Deroba
